Star Trek: Generations

Last week was a sad one for Trekkers, as two beloved Star Trek characters lost their actors. Incidentally, Walter Koenig and Patrick Stewart reprised their roles in the film Star Trek: Generations, but Chekov and Jean-Luc Picard didn't have any scenes together.

Starring Malcolm McDowell, Star Trek: Generations kicked off the film series with the The Next Generation TV cast.

Rick Berman, Ronald D. Moore, and Brenna Braga may not be familiar names, but they were among the best writers in the Star Trek franchise, and to their credit, they cleverly brought iconic U.S.S. Enterprise Captains James T. Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard together in a movie.

Star Trek: Generations continues the Star Trek tradition with top-notch science fiction, action, drama, and humor, and diehard fans will appreciate the references to the Star Trek: TNG series, like Data's emotion chip.

I still believe Star Trek Nemesis is the most underrated Star Trek film with the TNG cast, but Star Trek: Generations will always be one of the best in the whole franchise.

Gene Roddenberry is credited with creating Star Trek, but it couldn't be as popular and cherished without the actors and actresses who have brought the characters to life.

"What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived."

Rest in peace, Walter Koenig and Sir Patrick Stewart.
