One thing I've always appreciated about Netflix is that their exclusive content includes international movie and TV series titles. I've featured the Korean Uprising in MOVIE OF THE WEEK, but surely there will be more to come.
The Shadow Strays is an Indonesian martial arts film about a young female assassin who is starting to question her line of work. While the movie is pretty violent, it's grounded in a very human story.
Moreover, I love sword fighting, and The Shadow Strays has plenty of it, which helps it stand out among other action films in the sub-genre.
A sequel is in development, and I look forward to seeing how the saga continues.
