Netflix's The Rip is one of those rare films I liked so much at first viewing that I immediately wanted to see it again.
"Rip" is police slang for raid and seizure. The Rip is a crime drama about a police unit going after cartel money, but one of them is a dirty cop, and tensions run high as accusations fly within the crew.
Brilliantly written and directed, The Rip brings a fresh visual style to the film genre with eerie cinematography that makes it feel almost like a horror film.
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have come a long way since Good Will Hunting, and they've made names for themselves as accomplished filmmakers and actors. I think The Rip is their best film together since their movie debut.
