Films about drone warfare have been few and far between, and it's been even rarer to find ones I really like.
With Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman, and Aaron Paul, Eye in the Sky is about a joint U.S. and U.K. military operation to capture American and British terrorists in Africa. The movie goes beyond drones and shows how bureaucracy and rules of engagement can impede military objectives.
It's also worth noting Eye in the Sky was Alan Rickman's last film.
In my opinion, Land of Bad with Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth is still the best film about drone pilots, but Eye in the Sky is definitely worth checking out.
