I would love to see a film adaptation of the Titanfall video game series about mechas. While that hasn't happened so far, there's Atlas on Netflix.
Hollywood tends to portray artificial intelligence as something bad, but movies like The Creator and Atlas are more "friendly" towards the technology.
Jennifer Lopez hasn't done many films, but once again, she proves she's an accomplished actress with her excellent performance in Atlas, which she also co-produced. Lopez in the lead role is a perfect match with the excellent screenplay about AI, and the movie has great action and humor to boot.
Most people may not have heard of director Brad Peyton, but the films he's directed I've seen so far have a great human story with a lot of heart, and he has a great eye for visual effects. I featured San Andreas, which Peyton also directed, a while back in MOVIE OF THE WEEK.
So while there hasn't been a Titanfall film, I am more than satisfied with Atlas, which is not only another underrated film from Netflix, but it's also one of the best sci-fi action movies in recent years that hardly anyone seems to have noticed.
