The term "white genocide" is laughable, but white supremacists like to live in fear.
Can history be rewritten if there are enough people who bear witness?
Richard Attenborough was a familiar face in Jurassic Park, but in the 1980s, he produced and directed Cry Freedom, which stars Denzel Washington and Kevin Kline and is based on a true story during a time of racial segregation in South Africa during the 1970s.
Cry Freedom revolves around apartheid, but the historical drama is also about empathy and understanding. Apartheid in South Africa may have ended in 1994, but racism, discrimination, and segregation are alive and well in the world, and it looks like we can still learn a lot from history.
